We consume the official Red Eléctrica (REE) open-data API, which publishes the PVPC tariff for the following day around 20:15 CET. For wholesale benchmarking we also mirror the OMIE market price. The values are cached on our servers and signed so you always know which source they came from.

The PVPC tariff is posted once per day, so you will see 24 new values each evening. Inside the app we refresh instantly when REE publishes the file and we add intra-day updates if emergency adjustments occur. Widgets can optionally show a countdown to the next tariff change.

Yes. Create a threshold rule such as “notify me when the price drops below 0.09 €/kWh” or schedule-based alerts like “ping me whenever tomorrow’s valley hours include 22:00–00:00.” Alerts can arrive via push notification or email depending on your preferences.

PVPC is our starting point because it is public and changes hourly, but you can enter any custom prices, contracted power, or time-of-use plan. The planner will show both the official tariff and your personal one so you can compare scenarios.

Not for now. PrecioLuz focuses on surfacing reliable data and helping you plan. We may integrate with HomeKit or other ecosystems later, but only with explicit consent and transparent off switches.

Absolutely. The app lets you export CSV files with the daily curve, the cheapest slots, and the savings scenarios you have modelled. We are also drafting a lightweight API for power users—drop us a line at natural.learning.apps@gmail.com if you want to plug it into your automations.

We are building native apps for iPhone, iPad, and macOS widgets first. A responsive web dashboard is also planned so you can check prices from any browser. Android and a Home Assistant integration are on our roadmap, but we do not have dates yet.

Let us know right away. Tap “Report issue” inside the app or send a quick email to natural.learning.apps@gmail.com with a screenshot. We track each curve against the official feed, but manual reports help us correct anomalies faster.

PrecioLuz only stores the minimum data required to send alerts: your email address, optional nickname, and the alert rules you define. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple’s CloudKit. We never sell or share usage information with utilities.

Checking today’s prices will remain free. Premium add-ons such as unlimited alerts, historical exports beyond 12 months, or integrations with home automation systems may require a subscription later. We will announce pricing before the public launch.

You need connectivity to download the latest tariffs, but once they are stored you can consult the full daily curve offline. Alerts obviously require a connection. Historical charts are cached locally for the last seven days.

You can delete your PrecioLuz account from the in-app privacy settings at any time. If you prefer a manual request, email natural.learning.apps@gmail.com and we will remove your data within 30 days, as required by GDPR.
